The laboratory provides training in specialized areas of forensic science for updating the expertise of serving forensic scientists.

Imparts training to in-service forensic scientists, police personnel and judicial officers.

Laboratory arranges lectures and practical demonstration in forensic science to the trainees of Central Detective Training Institute, Hyderabad and IPS, IAS, IRS Officers Trainees of National Police academy, Hyderabad and Judicial Officers.

The laboratory also organized national level seminars, workshops on latest/emerging trends and techniques in forensic science.

Provides consultancy to state police organization for creating and modernizing forensic science facilities.
